Minister Tanya Webb
Minister Webb is the daughter of Sister Yvonne and husband, Brother Wayne Bentley, faithful members and disciples of Second Baptist Church, Morristown, New Jersey. A native Philadelphian, she was raised in the city and completed her formal scholastic education there.
At the age of 12, she accepted Christ as her personal savior; and was baptized at Faith Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Reverend Perry E. Evans. Her Christian education and faith foundation was experienced at Thankful Baptist Church with her late paternal grandparents, Deacon Isaac Webb and Sister Louisa Webb.
Her past biblical studies include training at the New Life Bible Institute from 1993 - 1996, also two years at Manna Bible Institute. She realized her “calling” in 1995 while attending a retreat at Blue Mountain resorts, but try to run from it, choosing instead to evangelize.
A young woman matured beyond her years, the Lord has brought her through trials and tribulations; but has rewarded her with wisdom, courage, and discernment. In 1999, after joining St. Joseph Baptist Church; the Potter began to mold and shape her being into a vessel, preparing her for ministry; and she submitted humbly to His Will.
On October 22, 2000 Minister Webb was given the charge to the gospel ministry under Pastor Gregory Fleming. She was the first woman licensed under St. Joseph’s Charter She served as an associate minister, spiritual advisor, Sunday School teacher, and new members instructor.
For several years she attended the Jameson school of Ministry and Theology in Philadelphia; and on June 15, 2008 was ordained at its 50th Commencement and Convocation Ceremonies. In June 2010, Reverend Tonya Webb graduated from the school of theology.
During the early years of preaching throughout the city, and beyond a personal affiliation develop with Second Baptist Church in Morristown, NJ. Since 2004, she has been a guest preacher for Sunday worship, three Women's Day services, other annual auxiliary day services; and was the consultant for its Women's Ministries first spiritual retreat. She is indeed a spirit filled woman ordained by God. And has no hesitation when it comes “to telling it like it is” for she is certified to testify. No feelings are spared when she brings forth the message of the Lord.
On September 27, 2014 after years of prayer, preparation and study, Min. Webb birthed and founded the “Precious In His Sight Ministry” which ministers to the hurt and brokenness of women from all walks of life. Currently, she fulfills her commitment on a one-on-one basis, as the Holy Spirit leads. She is humble, yet deeply passionate about her ministry, which is for His honor and glory.
